Learning how to be "sick"

Well several weeks into preschool, Nathaniel has officially figured out how to play sick. He proudly announced to one of my friends (who also has a 3 yr. old in preschool) that he would not be going to preschool the next day because he was going to be sick. She smiled and asked him, "Are you sick right now?" He said, "No, but I will be tomorrow." Clever little stinker! For some reason the anticipation of going drives him crazy, but once he is there and we are gone, he of course if just fine!

To top it off Luke is sick today and so is the dog! Fun day! No really, we did accomplish a fun project today. We made cuneiform like the ancient Sumerians. I made a baker's clay. The kids rolled it out, then I cut it into tablets. They wrote their names using the symbols Sumerians would have used. They were very excited and Cari, being the 'let's do it all child' wants to make plates, bowls, and cups too! But I had to draw the line somewhere. If I can find some fall cookie cutters, we will make ornaments with the left over.

That's all for now! Have a great day!
