Our first -itty bitty- snow!

Monday morning we woke up and found snow. Cari, Noah and Nathaniel just had to get out and play in it while it lasted. Poor Luke was stuck inside with me. He pouted at the door while his older siblings' faces got colder by the minute. When they came in, we decided it was a good morning to have hot chocolate.

Happy as can be!

Wishful thinking!

Group hug!

A cute story -- Cari comes home Wednesday night from midweek (church activities for grade school kids) and begins to ask us questions about the outcome of the election. Our conversation went something like this:
Cari - "Mom, Dad, are you sad that Obama was elected president?"
Mom- "Yes, but now we have to move on and deal with what our country has chosen."
Cari - "The midweek kids said he is going to take all of our money and give it to the poor!!! Is he really going to take our money away?"
Dad - "No honey he isn't going to take our money away."
Mom- "We are not considered rich."
Cari - "But we aren't poor!! We have everything we need!"
Dad - "Yes that is very true, but Obama will take money from people who have lots of it and give it to who he wants it to go to."
Mom - "That is what you call a democrat."
A few minutes pass.
Cari - "Midweek kids say he is going to take all of our weapons!"
At this point Rob and I look at each other, knowing what parents in Wyoming have been telling their little ones about the election. There is no question where Wyoming stands.
