This past weekend I was at Target shopping for a birthday present. I happened to pass an end isle which had a clearance section. To my surprise a particular bedding set was the hot item. Now most of you know that I LOVE finding great sales! I rarely buy anything unless it's on sale. Well in my moment of weakness, I gave in to my childhood thoughts and decided that money momentarily grew on trees. The excuses began in my head: the boys have never had nice bedding (or matching), there are actually 3 twin sized quilts(!), and perhaps the biggest reason - they can have a piece of the 'Cowboy state' in their room. So I headed to the checkout counter with much more than I came for. And thus their room transformed into the "Cowboy Corral".
I can't begin to put into words the excitement from the boys. They were beyond happy with the looks of their new room. While we penny pinch a bit more this month, I just have to look at their little faces and remember it was all worth it...every bit of penny crunching we will have to do!
Luke, excitedly, showing me the horse
and cowboy on his new pillow.
Noah and Nathaniel proudly sitting
on their beds, each showing me a
piece of their cowboy side: one with
a riffle and one with a guitar.
Luke dreamily gazing into the camera.
Our heartbreaking cowboy...
Singing away.
Noah and the wild, wild west spirit.
At heart, he's a genuine gentleman.
And Cowboy Joe...aka Luke.
Just stinkin' cute!
I have to agree with the boys in that I love the new room! I was actually at Target last night and saw that same beding on sale and I thought of WY! Very cute pictures, I like how you had fun changing some of them!
ReplyDeletereally cute bedding! Great job, master shopper!
ReplyDeleteAnd your rootin' tootin' cowpokes are adorable! You should frame the photos for their bedroom walls. :)
