The Indianapolis Children's Museum

Last week my parents came through for a visit. At the last minute we decided to meet them in Indianapolis so we could visit the Children's Museum. What an unexpected adventure! We had so much fun. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

This amazing blown-glass display is in the center of the museum. There is over 18,000 lbs of glass in this tower. It is so tall, I couldn't fit the entire tower into one frame. The museum is four levels, all of them wind up around this magnificent piece of art.

Our first stop, digging for dinos! They had an entire atrium of fossil replicas. Beautifully constructed. The sky above changed from day to night.

Now it's time to visit "All Aboard", the train exhibit. All aboard!!!

Next stop, Attack of the Clones. Now our boys are in Stars Wars heaven! Now we just have to convince them there is still more to see.

Now we're in Egypt. How did we get all the way across the world? Cari is making an Arabic postcard. Writing in Arabic is hard work!

Luke is going to give this a try, too.

Next, we are off to the races! Our future drivers...scary- huh?

And of course, we found a life size Barbie for Nene. Imagine - the Barbie is still taller than Nene!

As we were leaving we noticed some dinosaurs trying to get into the museum. They must want to be a part of the action and excitement inside.

And finally, we couldn't leave without attempting to get a great picture with Popo and Nene. And after many attempts we finally got a "keeper".

Can't leave until we count all those stripes! Final tally...115.

The car ride home...peaceful! For mom and dad this = PRICELESS!

We had a wonderful day exploring the museum. It was so big, we didn't make it through the entire museum, so stay tuned for upcoming museum adventures.
