What's that you say?...A sunny day!!

Well, again I let more time than anticipated go by before getting around to posting. And, again the ridiculous number of pictures I took, delayed my blogging routine. We finally had a sunny day! So the kids and I took this opportunity to go to the college and explore their gardens and area by the river. After looking at our pictures, you will have no doubt how much fun we had. Cari with her sketch pad and the boys swords in hand, off we went on our adventure. I can't get enough of the sunshiny fall days here. The colors all around are more than spectacular, in fact I can't put words to the happiness overflowing in me as I stand in awe of God's creation.

Up, up, up the hill...who will be first?
Well the boys might have had a chance of winning,
however sword fighting was much more fun than racing
big sister, who always wins!

Luke, toddling along, stops to tell
me something in his toddler language,
which at the moment sounds
completely foreign to my ears.
Smiling and nodding sometimes works!

At the top! Now we get to come down!
Ready, set....go!

Run!

What a sweet, big brother! Always
ready to help out, gently guiding Luke
down what seems to be a mountain
in Luke's eyes.

Time for more!

Prairie girl at heart

One of many attempts at a group photo
Let's try the swing!

Maybe not perfect, but lots of fun!

What a forced smile. Looks thrilled - huh?
There's my genuine Noah smile..I knew he could find it.

My most cooperative model of the day....goes to Cari!

We are blessed with a beauty!
And Nathaniel, or Nate, if he would make
his mind up, was determined the sun was
in his eyes (even though it was directly
behind him).

"Open your eyes, Nathaniel"
"But Mom they are watering!"
And one of many expressions coming
from our studious Luke.

When he's not looking serious, he's usually pointing at
something with excitement running through his body.
My boys...need I say more

And even better!

I guess they decided one nice one,
just for mom, thanks boys!

While the boys spent the afternoon
sword fighting, Cari was engrossed in
her new hobby, drawing.

Like I said...such a beauty!

Such concentration!

Luke is taking careful note of big brother's abilities...
hooking the sword onto his belt loops.

Battle face on!

Here it comes!

And Luke, figuring it all out.

Rather than a pouty lip, this is Luke's
battle face, ready for action!

What a wonderful afternoon!
