Hilger's Family Farm

This past weekend our neighbors mentioned they were going out to Hilger's Family Farm to get some pumpkins. It's been too long since the kids and I have been to a farm or pumkin patch, so we decided to give it a try. It was a bit of a drive, just enough time for the two older ones to get their homework done. As we pulled in we were happily greeted by a beautiful bright red Irish Setter. As I was pulling in a very kind lady explained that most of their business is done on the weekend, but we were welcome to get pumkins. She was also gracious enough to open up the play areas for the kids. The kids had many questions for her, which she very patiently answered. What a perfect fall afternoon!!

Almost there!

Look at all these beautiful pumpkins! You can also
see the kids enjoying themselves on the play set.

In back of their barn they have set up several climbing
structures and little mazes for little ones to enjoy.

Look Mom, I can balance!

What a loving sister, always willing
to give a hand! Luke is a lucky little boy!

A race car!!!! Now how to make it go...hmmmm?

I climbed to the top!
And this is how excited I am!!!

I can still squeeze in if I try!

And the biggest attraction, friendly kittens.

The kids were so excited to be able to touch and hold
these kittens. It was truly the highlight of the day!

Nathaniel, as usual, was the most interested.

An attempt at a group photo.

And now for pumpkin time, everyone
got to pick out a pumpkin. Can you
detect of hint of happiness?

Can everyone say, "pumpkins"?
Now we're done, just take a look at the boys' faces.

As we were leaving, I had to take in this amazingly
beautiful tree. Oh how I love the fall!!!!
