One fine day

Fall is one of the reasons I love living here in Indiana.  I adore this time of year.  The colors, the smells, the sounds all give me overwhelming joy and excitement.  Now I don't really like what comes next, but I sure try to enjoy every pleasurable moment of autumn that I can possibly squeeze out.  So I'm warning you now...this post has lots of colorful pictures.  In fact too many, but I just can't get enough of this "One Fine Day".  And on the particular afternoon we even caught a special treat.  If you look further down in the post, it is a common site for you New Mexicans, but a true rarity for us Indianans. Can you guess what I'm talking about?

Looking for the perfect leaf.

Still looking...

Freshly plowed field.

Found one!

Me too!

On the way home, the kids and I saw something in the horizon.
We went to investigate and they saw their first hot air balloon,
something I took for granted growing up in New Mexico.
How exciting!!

Could there be a more perfect way to end the day than with a breath taking sunset?

Not for me.
