Due to our enormous blizzard yesterday, the kids and I are stuck at home today. They were a bit disappointed. However, this didn't last for long. They decided to "play" church. Noah is the pastor. Right now he is telling a bible story for scripture readings. Cari of course is helping him get all the details right. Nathaniel is shouting out bits and pieces of hymns he has remembered. They even dressed in robes to try to resemble the "look" of their pastor aka dad. They are trying to remember as much of the liturgy as they can. I just heard, "Oh Lord have mercy on us." And, "Thanks be to God." Who says kids can't understand what happens in church? They may not fully comprehend, but they have a lot of the service in their memory. What a blessing! They have the word of God ingrained in them just from attending church every (well almost) Sunday of their little lives.
They are anxiously awaiting to go play in this wonderful snow that was dumped, well blown upon us yesterday. Stayed tuned for pictures of them out in snow that is in some areas deeper than they are tall.
