Canadian Tooth Fairy

This past Sunday, Noah lost one of his front teeth. He was so excited!! Not only did this mean a tooth fairy visit, he was also excited that Grandpa Ingalls was here to witness this special occasion. Losing teeth is big business!

The local tooth fairy contacted me and promised me she wouldn't forget this time (oops - she doesn't have a great history in our home). When Noah was fast asleep she graced our home and made the exchange: 4 quarters for 1 tooth. Whew! She remembered! Noah was very excited to wake up to find 4 shiny quarters. He ran out to show Grandpa Ingalls. As Grandpa got to looking he noticed that two of these quarters were Canadian. I joined the morning chaos a little while latter, asking Noah if the tooth fairy had remembered. He replied, "Yes she remembered, but she left me Canada quarters." OOPS!! To recover, I explained that the tooth fairy was probably on her way to Canada next and accidentally mixed up her quarters. I let him trade the Canadian quarters for 2 American quarters. The rest of the morning, Noah was busy thinking about the Canadian boy who probably received 2 American quarters.

Just maybe the tooth fairy will get it right next time???
