A memory to share...

For the first time in 5 1/2 years I will be flying across country alone. This trip my little ducklings will be staying home with dad for a weekend full of movies, video games, and candy. The cause for this occasion, you might ask? I am flying home to NM to celebrate my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. We had hoped to go as a family, but for several reasons we couldn't make a family trip work at the moment. So I'm flying solo!

My sister had a wonderful idea in light of my grandparents anniversary. She picked up a Reflections book at a book store. She sent out the page dimensions to 16 different people close to Papa and Nana. She asked us to make a page, telling them what their life/marriage has meant to us. Well for all my scrapaholic friends this is what I came up with:

This is a title page for our family.

I'm not exactly sure where this page

is placed in the book.

This is the front of our page...as

you can see it opens up.

This is our page opened.

This is the back. The kids

got to leave their mark.

I had a lot of fun putting my thoughts into this page. If any of you know me well, you know how much I adore my grandparents. I'll leave you with what I wrote them:

September 2009

Papa and Nana,

Since the day I was
born, you two have brought
music to my ears. Through-
out my life you have loved
me, inspired me, and guided
me. Now my children have
the privilege of listening to
the music you bring to
them. I am so honored
to have been blessed with
such amazing grandparents.
Your life has been a light
to our family and provided
our hearts with music for
years to come.

With all our love,
Rob, Amy, Cari,
Noah, Nathaniel,
and Luke
