Moving dirt

Do you remember the big piles of dirt in our yard from previous pictures? Well if you do, this was the day those piles disappeared. We happened to be home to watch the action.

It's a bit startling to see this huge piece of equipment appear in your yard.

The boys and the dog enjoyed watching this massive machine
push dirt around like it was a bunch of cotton balls. Have you
guessed that I have no clue what the name of this tractor is?

He was a very skilled driver. He was within inches of the house.

Big smiles for big excitement!

Fake smile so he could get back to
watching this amazing machine

And of course what would tractor
driving be without your cell
phone? He spent a good part of
the time with his head to his shoulder
yacking away while skillfully
maneuvering around my yard
We were so excited to see this happen because this put us one step closer to getting our yard. Speaking of, they seeded our yard on the 25th of June. We have spent countless hours watering and pulling weeds that decide to make their entrance. Darn crabgrass.....go away!!!!! I'm beginning to wonder if they had some crabgrass in their "special" mix of seed. You can thank our wonderful crabgrass for stealing my blogging hours, but I'm coming back. Pulling weeds ironically can be soothing, but I've had enough soothing for one day.

  1. Wow, sounds like a lot of work!! You must have been on pins and needles with that tractor so close to your windows.
