My new best friend

My new best friend is my i-Robot Roomba vacuum. I love it! Have I mentioned that I have become mildly obsessed with trying to figure out how to keep somewhat of a clean floor with 6 people and 2 dogs? I am a floor person...that is I am happier when I have clean floors. I tried to let it go and not get so bothered, but finally had to accept that I need to have clean floors. I'm not talking spotless clean, that is impossible, however picked-up clean is what I'm all about. My dear grandparents and aunt and uncle heard about my floor issues. They surprised me with a big gift, an i-Robot Roomba. I had emailed my aunt asking if she liked hers. I had seen one at Sam's Club and started dreaming, but I wanted to know that it would be a worthwhile investment. I had also got online and read some reviews. I knew it would be awhile before I saved up to get one though. Well did I ever get a big surprise in the mail!!! Thank you Papa and Nana!! Thank you Jill and John!! This little machine has really helped with our floor mess.

None the less it keeps going in its unpredictable patterns covering the carpet and the vinyl.

And one of the coolest aspects: when it is done or needs to be recharged it returns itself back to the dock. We empty the collector, check the brushes and it is ready to go again in a short while.

We have discovered the best time to turn it on is just before we go to bed. This way the kids and dogs aren't in the way and it can do its job uninterrupted. And we wake up to clean floors...how awesome it that!!!
